What if the Wait is the Work?

God is crafting greatness in "the wait."

Hello, BOSS Style Insider!

So often, waiting is such a difficult thing to do. We're so conditioned to want everything immediately, so when the Lord has us sitting in "the wait," we struggle with it. Thoughts of doubt and low self-worth creep in, and we even get angry at the God who knows all things, including how everything will play out for us.

We often view seasons of delay or stillness as setbacks, but what if they’re much more than that?

Let’s reframe the question. What if the delay you're experiencing right now isn’t a punishment or denial, but a divine setup for growth, development, and preparation for what God has for you?

God never wastes anything! Not even a single moment. The season you're in right now might be uncomfortable, unclear, or even painful, but it’s not purposeless. In fact, it is the very space where He’s preparing you for the very thing you've been praying for the most.

I know this season very well, as I've been in "the wait" for a couple of years. I started off complaining and being frustrated, but in time I realized that wasn't doing me any good and I was asking for greatness in my life. One cannot be great living a life full of complaints and pity parties.

I know God has greatness prepared for me (it says it in His Word), so I must be prepared to handle where I'm going to be. As it's said, skills and talent can get you places, but it's character and a way of being that will keep you there. God wanted me to trust in Him and solely rely on Him in and through everything, and He desires the same for you.

In "the wait" is where your faith is stretched, your character is refined, and your trust in Him is deepened. Remember, "The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the person who seeks Him" (Lamentations 3:25).

When you lean into waiting and you truly seek Him in it, you begin to understand that He’s not just preparing the blessing for you; He’s preparing you for the blessing, and it will be worth the wait.

Let’s Reflect a Bit...

  • What is one thing you believe God is developing in you right now?

  • How can you lean in rather than rush through this season?

Happy reflecting! Feel free to reply and share.

Here’s my reflection:

What is one thing you believe God is developing in you right now? Being consistent...in everything and every area. Lawd help me...lol. I'm getting there.

How can you lean in rather than rush through this season? I'm seeking help from Holy Spirit and being kind to myself. I know I desire what God desires for me so in His timing and I'll just keep growing and getting better.
